(Past Event) True North Brass

True North Brass will be performing a very special Christmas concert to benefit the YRMG Santa Fund on Saturday, November 26th at 7:30 p.m. They will be joined by special guests, the Take Note vocal ensemble.

This promises to be a wonderful evening of top-notch entertainment provided by five of Canada’s best-known brass musicians: Stuart Laughton, trumpet; Barton Woomert, trumpet; Roslyn Black, french horn; Alastair Kay, trombone; and Scott Irvine, tuba.

True North Brass burst onto the scene in 1997 and has since solidified its reputation as one of the world’s finest brass ensembles. With a roster of some of Canada’s finest brass instrumentalists, True North’s membership includes two outstanding composer / arrangers who create the ensemble’s fresh and unique programming. Proudly Canadian in focus and expression with a truly international outlook, True North Brass has been welcomed not only in Canada but in China and throughout North America. True North Brass has released four critically acclaimed recordings, been featured on CBC Television’s Opening Night program, is heard frequently on public and private radio and collaborated on other recording projects with such artists as the Elmer Iseler Singers, Rick Fox, Lori Cullen, Eleanor Daley and St. Michael’s Choir School.

The Santa Fund is a charity run by the York Region Media Group – publishers of many local community newspapers such as the Newmarket Era, The Aurora Banner, and The East Gwillimbury Express. They work with other local charities to collect, buy, and distribute food clothing, and presents for children and families to help make the Holiday season a joyful time.

Tickets are only $30.00 and are available by calling the church office at 905-853-7285 or info@stpaulsnewmarket.org. Wine and beer will be available for purchase at this event.
