Not only does St. Paul’s congregation praise God through worship, but we also praise God through our work locally, nationally and internationally. We understand the transformational power of Christian service and the important role that we must play as an Anglican community. If you would like to contribute your time, talents, or treasures to one of our outreach activities, please contact the church office. We are very grateful for all the support we have received in the past. Iqualuit Shelter For the women who are coming to the Qimaavik shelter there is a 97 per cent occupancy rate. A new facility, which is supported by St. Paul’s, is equally important. The congregation at St. Paul’s strongly supports this shelter and has sent over 35 boxes of much needed items for the women and children who need a place to stay.

"We have to really turn to the community to ask them to please help us yet again so we can put the service in place." Howard Hospital- Zimbabwe Dr Paul Thistle lives and works in rural Zimbabwe with his wife Pedrinah (both are wearing their Salvation Army uniforms) and their two children, Alexander (left) and James
Dr. Thistle has personal connections with members of St. Paul’s and as friends of Dr. Thistle, St. Paul’s has had numerous campaigns to support the needs of the Howard Hospital in Zimbabwe. The needs for the hospital are great and it primarily survives as a result of help from outside the country. St. Paul’s was honoured to have Dr. Thistle speak to the congregation in June and was thrilled that he and his family were able to stay for a barbeque following our service. The congregation presented Dr. Thistle with a donation in U.S. funds. In addition. In addition, the children of St. Paul’s, had a bake sale to raise funds to present to Dr. Thistle the Hospital. Inn from the Cold - Newmarket St. Paul’s supports the needs of Inn from the Cold. We support it through donations of clothing, especially new socks and long underwear to keep people warm during the long winter months. Rose of Sharon The congregation of St. Paul’s had a coin harvest. Some of the funds were used to purchase new items for the Rose of Sharon Christmas baskets for young single moms. Primate's World Relief and Development Fund The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) is the Anglican Church of Canada's agency for sustainable development, relief, refugees, and global justice. St. Paul’s supports this initiative through prayer and financial contributions. Sleeping Children Around the World The children of St. Paul’s, as part of a Lenten Outreach program, raised enough funds to purchase 8 bed kits for this very worthwhile organization. They provide the kits to children in underdeveloped countries.
The Sunday School was thrilled to receive photos of children who received the bed kits. Santa Fund Our congregation donated and raised funds to support the Santa Fund in Newmarket. We were able to support 2 single moms with children at Christmas. The response from our campaign was overwhelming. Eagle Terrace Nursing Home The elderly should never be forgotten. At Christmas, 8 elderly patients at Eagle Terrace, who had no family or friends were remembered by St. Paul’s. All received new pyjamas, sweaters, socks and some personal treats.
